NY state of grind.
I was in the dirty rotten last week for some business with the Fresh & Proper crew. We had a lot of fun but as usual it was an all day every day grind. I swear the city is a living breathing entity itself and everyone there is just plugged in. Capsule was dope, saw some good things for spring 09' - especially from the likes of Wood Wood & Shades of Griege. Project NY on the other hand wasn't that impressing although there were a few brands of interest but they were ruined by the likes of Ed Hardy. We did a lot of running around, politicking, networking and all out hustling. It was a great trip we got a lot done, and are working on a lot of good things to come. Here's some highlights from the trip.

Life & Times.
Anything Is Possible |
A photo log of where I've been and where i'm going. An Alpha Romeo outside of work, djing, at the library with Nelson, back in the studio with the kids, and on the bike. The journey keeps right on going.
Fast Times
It seems like just yesterday we were just getting to Miami for WMC 07' with no plans, no shows booked, and not even a place to stay. A year and some month's later the homies just got back in from the UK tour and are now off to do Jimmy Kimmel with Justin Timberlake and Kim Kardashian Tomorrow. It's been a wild ride.

Obama Rolling Stones Cover
A year ago as Barack Obama was beginning the democratic primary process I wrote an article about the people behind his Presidential campaign, people I felt were going to be the difference between him and Hillary. Your only as good as the pieces around you and Obama picked one of the best teams in the history of Presidential races. The Rolling Stones article reaffirms those prediction's from almost a year ago to date and as this process continues Obama's "team" will be the difference between who wins and loses. See you in November.

Fixed Gear
I've been watching the fixed gear movement for a minute. Living in the city you of course see a bunch of cat's riding without breaks. Obviously im thinking that's craze, how in the world do you stop! Being hit on a bike with breaks I never thought I would be riding without them.
I recently made the switch to Fixed and I have to be honest - it makes you more conscious of every move you make - almost making you a better rider. I hit my boy Ben from The Brilliance trying to catch some specs, price points, see what I should be looking for. I decided on the Pista its classic Bianchi material and so far its treated me well.
Fre$h & Proper Highlights
The kids and I threw a little shindig before they left for their European jaunt. It was good times great oldies, a lot of good people came out, and a lot of people drank 40's until they got kicked out. Everybody ripped it, definitely a night to remember. Thanks to Vapors and Dub Frequency for jumping down, and last but not least Empire for holding us down.
